Body fat percentage is estimated from circumference measurements using a validated logarithmic equation.
- The U.S. Navy method was developed by Hodgdon & Beckett (1984) and uses neck, waist, and (for women) hip circumference.
- Classification thresholds follow the American Council on Exercise (ACE) guidelines.
